Whipped Shea & Tamanu Body Mousse | Zephyr
Organic tamanu oil, rich in anti-inflammatory resins and of the deepest green, is drizzled into melted organic shea butter and whipped until light & fluffy.
This body mousse bestows your skin with an abundance of vitamins & polyphenols, natural sun protection, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Shea, argan, and tamanu are all renowned for their exceptional skin nourishing properties. These oils and butters soak deeply into your skin promoting healthy radiance and welcome relief to dry, itchy skin.
Whipped in teeny tiny batches until light and fluffy, a little bit of this body mousse goes a long way.
Zephyr is a blend of lavender, cypress, cedarwood, fir, sweet orange, and copaiba balsam. This blend is fresh and crisp like alpine country at daybreak in autumn.
Looking for a different fragrance? Ylang and Neroli's for you... the bright, fresh scent of neroli (orange blossoms), sweet orange, and ylang ylang greet you to brighten your day each time you open this jar.
NOTE: Because Whipped Shea & Tamanu is sensitive to heat, your shipment will go out on Monday or Tuesday with special packaging during certain times of the year to keep it from liquifying during transit.
And, if your whipped body mousse happens to soften or liquify during shipping, simply allow the jar to cool and, once the contents solidify, stir and enjoy.
Origin Story
Cold pressed tamanu, a deep green oil, contains between 10% and 20% resins, which are anti-inflammatory compounds that settle readily out of the oil. Tamanu is so rich in resins that when room temperature drops much below 70, the entire oil solidifies.
Tamanu is revered in its native lands (Africa, India, and Australia) for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, due largely to the resins.
Because tamanu is so nearly solid at room temperature and because the solids tend to settle regardless of temperature, keeping those resinous solids suspended lended well to a body butter.
Like tamanu, shea and argan both have a long history of use in skincare and both display anti-inflammatory and skin soothing properties.
Whipped Shea & Tamanu is a deliciously simple formula that helps you achieve deliciously supple skin.
How to Use
Massage a small amount onto your skin (including all the rough spots like elbows, knees, heels, and toes) any time of day. When you apply to your feet, slip on socks immediately afterwards to avoid slips and oily footprints.
Feel free to blend a few pumps of your favorite body oil with a tiny dollop of whipped body mousse in the palm of your hand before applying to your body.
